Create your key and your DiMaggio research first (both are explained on the document), then begin reading assignment #1, which is due on Thursday. Read slowly, and annotate carefully. We will discuss the symbols tomorrow. Be constantly cognizant of the fact that this beautiful story is MUCH more that it appears on the surface. Take the time to notice all the little details that represent more significant aspects of the story (as much as you can at this time).
