Read HOB ch. 6. Be sure to annotate for setting and think about what effect it has on mood. We will discuss in class tomorrow and you should be prepared to identify relevant quotes.

Today in class we will be reading chapter 4 in HOB and re-creating the threatening letter that Sir Henry receives. You will also have a short writing assignment accompanying your letter. Directions and rubric for the assignment are here. The letter and writing assignment are due Wednesday, September 14th.
Don't forget Vocab Unit 2 is due Monday! Read ch. 3 in HOB and recreate the crime scene in a drawing. The drawing does not have to be elaborate (It can be just a sketch), but it should have precise details marked (hedge, path, gate, footprints, etc.).
Finish creating your graphic organizer for evidence and deductions made from the walking stick in chapter 1 of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Then read pages 11-17 for tomorrow.
