If you are going into Honors 9 ELA next year, the assignment is attached here. Have a great summer!
Tuesday and Wednesday you are responsible for completing and handing in the following assignments (Remember that Chromebooks will be collected Wednesday during 9th period):
Research papers are due by the end of class tomorrow! You should ideally print at home tonight. Be sure to bring your folder. The order of your folder is as follows:
In the front pocket: printed notecards stapled together In the prongs: Title page, research paper, works cited, speech Four Squares are due Friday.
Vocab 15 test is Friday. Research Papers are due one week from today. If you were absent from class today, you missed a short lesson on setting short-term goals. At this point, I recommend you break up your assignments into manageable chunks and write your personal due dates on a calendar (You can get a copy from me). For example, you might aim to have your introduction written by Friday, your first subtopic done by Monday, second subtopic by Tuesday, etc. Don't forget about your Four Squares (due next Friday) and your vocab (due Monday).
Today we will take your Vocab Unit 14 test and introduce unit 15. Unit 15 is due Monday, 5/ 15; the test is Friday, 5/19.
Research Rough Drafts are due this Thursday. That means ~50 notecards, a minimum of 5 sources, and an outline completed (all in Noodle Tools). Continue working on research, keeping in mind that your "Rough Draft" (50 notecards, 5 citations, & outline) are due next Thursday. Rest up for tomorrow's AIR testing.
By tomorrow, you should have chosen and read the speech you are going to research. Start working on notecards on Noodle Tools. Talk to your parent(s)/guardian(s) about getting a 3-pronged, 2-pocket folder for your final project, which is due May 23rd. Requirements and rubrics are on our Writing page.
*Remember that our Vocab 14 test will not be until Monday, due to AIR testing this Friday. |
