A message from Ms. Casey:
Hi, all! My African American Literature class is hosting an African American Read-In on April 4th (Maya Angelou's Birthday) from 6:00-8:00 at the High School library. We will be paying homage to the sit-ins of the 1960s by asking students of all ages (and their parents) to come to the library and pledge to read a book, poem, play, essay from an African American author for at least 20 minutes. My students will be reading passages from their author study, and we will have a read-aloud corner, food, etc.
